We are ...

Our Redeemer Lutheran Church is a confessional congregation of The Lutheran Church - Missouri Synod.  We proclaim God's Word and His Sacraments given for our eternal good, empowering us to go out into the world to "do good works God prepared in advance for us to do" (Ephesians 2:10 NIV).  Our congregation serves the spiritual and practical needs of members of all ages.

If you are a visitor or traveler from out of the area looking for a place to worship during your stay, please join us on Sunday morning.  You will find us a friendly church home away from home!

If you are from the Flathead Valley, we might be what you are looking for in a church.  If you don't have a church and want to know more ... come hear what God has to say to you.  Hear the truth about our sin and need of forgiveness, and hear of the love and sacrifice of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ to save us from that sin.

We offer two Sunday morning worship services, a Sunday School for youth, and Sunday Bible study for adults.

His Story ...
and Your Story
His Story ... and Your Story

Welcome to Our Redeemer!  Here you will find out about the many things we do to serve our congregation and our neighbors.

But, the real story of Our Redeemer happens in church.  It is in our church services that we tell the story of Jesus Christ, and hear that His story is the story of our world.

It seems that most people just don't know where to find Jesus.  Our self-centered world tries to convince us that the only place to find Jesus is in our hearts, or in nature, or in our feelings ... or some other place that we choose.  We try to find a place to fit the story of Christ into our lives.  But, the truth is that Christ is the center of our story.

And, that is why attending church is so important.  Telling the world its story is what happens in the Divine Service that we hear each week at Our Redeemer, a liturgy practiced and passed down through the generations that faithfully tells Christ's story - our story.  From the creation to the fall, from the promise made to the promise fulfilled in Christ, from an empty tomb to your life lived under the cross, the Divine Service tells us His story - the world's story.  And, indeed, it is your story!

I wonder if you have thought of "going to church" in quite this way?  There are many places to hear or read about Jesus, but only in church does His story become your story.

The Divine Service liturgy tells the world's story, and we are reminded of our place in it.  Christ is at the center of the world's story, and as one of His people you learn that your Lord is found at the center of the liturgy.  In church we hear that story in God's Word of forgiveness proclaimed to you in the Holy Absolution, in God's Word read into your ears, in the application of that Holy Word in the sermon, and in our Lord's body and blood shed for the forgiveness of your sins in Holy Communion.  All the parts of the story unfold week after week in the Divine Service.

May the peace of God be with you ... wherever you go.
